21:52 , Marc Mayo
90+4 mins: Rashford, just named the official Man of the Match for his two assists, is well denied in the Everton box by Godfrey’s sliding challenge.
21:51 , Marc Mayo
90+3 mins: Everton find Godfrey from a deep corner and a fine cross to the far post tickles Doucoure and drifts out of play.
Can the Toffees produce one more chance?
21:49 , Marc Mayo
90+1 mins: Gray, a threat all night, dances onto his left foot and rifles a shot straight at De Gea. Well held by the United keeper.
21:48 , Marc Mayo
90 mins: We’ll have six minutes of injury time at Old Trafford.
21:46 , Marc Mayo
88 mins: Onana booked for arriving to a meaty clash with Martinez second.
Pickford touches Rashford’s free-kick over the bar. Not too difficult for the keeper.
21:44 , Marc Mayo
85 mins: Some lovely interchanges down the right wing puts Godfrey into the box. A heavy touch puts Martinez between him and the ball and the Argentine muscles him off really well to win a goal kick.
21:42 , Marc Mayo
83 mins: More subs. Antony and Eriksen off for Maguire and McTominay.
Is that going to be a back five?
21:39 , Marc Mayo
80 mins: Ten minutes for Everton to force a replay and Lampard makes his final changes.
Mykolenko and Coleman off for McNeil and Gordon. Forward thinking.
21:36 , Marc Mayo
78 mins: Everton fighting to make a game of this still and Gueye rockets a long-range attempt over the bar.
21:35 , Marc Mayo
76 mins: Malacia off for Martinez.
GGGGOOOOOA-NO!
21:31 , Marc Mayo
73 mins: Calvert-Lewin thinks he’s bundled Everton level but Gray is just offside when he was played in by Coleman.
A lucky escape for Man United.
21:31 , Marc Mayo
72 mins: Garnacho’s first act is to fumble the ball into touch after some expert hustling by Coleman, with a teeny little push for good measure.
Everton go long from the goal kick and De Gea rushes off his line for another hairy moment! United escape…
21:29 , Marc Mayo
70 mins: Casemiro and Martial taken off for Fred and Garnacho, will that lead to Rashford going into the central striker’s role?
21:27 , Marc Mayo
69 mins: Here comes Calvert-Lewin! Everton introduce their star man in place of Maupay.
21:25 , Marc Mayo
67 mins: Doucoure is gesturing for a yellow card after lunging on on Rashford. That’s no dive, though, and Darren England books the Everton man.
21:24 , Marc Mayo
65 mins: Strong palms from Pickford to parry Fernandes’ drive over the bar!
CLOSE!
21:22 , Marc Mayo
63 mins: Doucoure goes on a mazy run before Coleman is teed up down the right channel.
His cross is toed away by De Gea and Mykolenko’s scuffed follow-up is blocked on the line – the away fans demand a penalty for handball but no dice!
21:19 , Marc Mayo
60 mins: Godfrey booked for landing one on Rashford, a throwback to their first-half dispute.
21:16 , Marc Mayo
58 mins: The first chants of “sacked in the morning” are aimed at Frank Lampard from the home fans.
United still well on top.
21:12 , Marc Mayo
54 mins: Everton looking ragged since Iwobi went off and Antony drills a low shot straight at Pickford.
A quickfire third could end this FA Cup tie.
GGGOOAAALLLL!! Man United 2-1 Everton
21:10 , Marc Mayo
51 mins: OWN GOAL!
Fine work by Rashford on the left sees him put a great low cross in, which Coady simply cannot get his feet sorted out to deal with and he deflects it past Pickford.
21:08 , Marc Mayo
49 mins: Applause from around the ground as Iwobi is taken off on a stretcher, his shirt pulled over his face in agony.
Doucoure will come on.
21:06 , Marc Mayo
48 mins: Iwobi looks really hurt with that and a stretcher has been called.
21:05 , Marc Mayo
46 mins: Very fine work by Malacia to chase down Iwobi on the break and fly in with a great slide tackle, although it looks to have hurt Iwobi’s ankle.
Kick-off!
21:03 , Marc Mayo
The second half gets underway!
No changes as we await a winner – or a replay will be required.
Roy Keane is not impressed with David De Gea!
21:03 , Marc Mayo
“Good work from Onana, Maupay puts it in but it’s a shocking mistake from an international goalkeeper,” he tells ITV.
“Everton have shown a bit of fight, turned it into a cup tie, but De Gea there is like Carry On Football. Looks as if he’s almost had a few drinks! Shocking mistake.
“It’s almost as if the keeper’s been sent off and an outfield player has gone in goal, and he doesn’t now what to do. A horrendous mistake and it gives a big lift to Everton.”
Stats check
20:57 , Marc Mayo
A surprisingly even picture in terms of possession, where United hold a 56-44 per cent advantage.
The hosts lead ten shots to two with three on target to one.
Everton only committed one foul in that half, to United’s seven.
First-half highlights
20:55 , Marc Mayo
Conor Coady gleefully poked home after David De Gea’s very curious error.
First-half highlights
20:53 , Marc Mayo

Half time! Manchester United 1-1 Everton
20:47 , Marc Mayo
The Toffees the happier of the two teams at the break.
20:47 , Marc Mayo

Tarkowski heads well clear and Godfrey is on the end of the second ball in.
20:45 , Marc Mayo
45 mins: United on top as two minutes added time begin.
20:43 , Marc Mayo
42 mins: Gray is the real threat for Everton and he skips past two men on the left wing before cutting inside.
Unsure whether to pass or shoot, he pokes a lame lay-off that is easily knocked back to De Gea by a retreating defender.
20:40 , Marc Mayo
39 mins: Lampard deploying the interesting tactic of giving Coleman freedom to bomb upfield from right-back when Maupay drops deep to hunt for the ball.
One such run from the Irishman is caught offside before United come back forward.
Eriksen whips a fine shot from range and it just curls over!
20:37 , Marc Mayo
37 mins: Varane finds himself by the Everton corner flag and pulls out a smart trick to beat Gueye. But a final ball, courtesy of Casemiro, can’t find a man with the visitors packing their box.
20:35 , Marc Mayo
34 mins: Well underhit from Casemiro as a promising breakaway, led by Antony, stalls and then falls apart altogether with a poor crossfield pass by the Brazilian.
Fernandes didn’t appear where he may would have there as he’s limping, holding his hip.
20:33 , Marc Mayo
32 mins: A good, bouncing shot from Rashford after a long run is punched away well by Pickford.
A bit end-to-end, this one all of a sudden.
20:31 , Marc Mayo
31 mins: A good block from the Everton wall as Antony fires at goal.
The away side continue to give it away though and only a sturdy Iwobi lunge denies Malacia the chance to shoot.
20:29 , Marc Mayo
28 mins: Fernandes booked for leaving an unnecessary boot on the heel of Onana after losing the ball.
A big cheer for the away fans, all 9,500 of them, for that.
20:27 , Marc Mayo
27 mins: Something of a fracas after Godfrey and Rashford tangle by the touchline.
The referee wants a word with both of them to talk it out. No cards.
20:26 , Marc Mayo
26 mins: A bit of life in Everton’s attack still, Tarkowski spotting Mykolenko but firing a pass far too hard for his teammate to collect.
United come back forward yet Casemiro has to shut Gray down with a smart foul that avoids a booking.
20:21 , Marc Mayo
21 mins: United unhappy as Onana gives the ball away then goes down holding his ankle.
A bit generous from Darren England to stop the play.
20:19 , Marc Mayo
19 mins: Both defences looking none too bright and Fernandes pops up in the box, rolling the ball to Rashford whose shot is blocked.
We’ve got a bit of a game, here.
20:16 , Marc Mayo
16 mins: Everton fans, previously holding up banners reading ‘sack the board’ are now lighting flares and bouncing merrily.
Martial looks to dampen their mood with a burst into the box but Pickford denies him!
GGGOOOOAAALLL!!! Man United 1-1 Everton
20:14 , Marc Mayo
14 mins: WHAT HAS DE GEA DONE!?
A low cross is fumbled by the goalkeeper as he attempts some strange footwork… and the ball lands for Coady to tap home!
Wow.
OFF THE POST!
20:13 , Marc Mayo
12 mins: Gray almost hits the leveller!
The winger smacks the post with a hit from 20 yards and it hits De Gea – but luckily lands out for a corner.
20:11 , Marc Mayo
10 mins: All a bit porous from Everton as Rashford freely strolls forward and across the box.
A lay-off for Eriksen results in a blocked shot before Casemiro flies a shot over from range.
20:08 , Marc Mayo
7 mins: Pickford determined to go long with pretty much every kick and one lands right at Maupay’s feet in the centre circle… only to be passed straight out of play.
20:06 , Marc Mayo
5 mins: That is, to be frank, a nightmare for Everton.
United looking sharp in attack as Martial fires only a few inches wide from the D.
GGGOOOOAAAALLL!!! Man United 1-0 Everton
20:03 , Marc Mayo
3 mins: ANTONY WITH THE OPENER!
Godfrey did well to shut down a move from Iwobi’s error but the hosts came back at Everton quickly.
Rashford is shown wide as he bursts forward and a low cross gets the slightest of touches from the Brazilian!
20:02 , Marc Mayo
2 mins: Shaw back at centre-back as expected for United, Martial up top with Rashford wide left.
Iwobi and Gray flank Maupay in a 5-4-1 for the visitors.

Lampard determined to fight off pressure
19:49 , Marc Mayo
Frank Lampard has insisted he is not thinking about his job future.
A poor run of results has left the Everton boss as 1/3 favourite to be the next Premier League boss to be sacked, according to SkyBet.
“I’ve never, and would never, seek reassurances,” said Lampard.
“It’s my job to focus on the job in hand, day to day, game to game. I’m not hunting around for any reassurances. I’m a big man, working for a great club, and I’ll keep doing it.”

Frank Lampard explains Calvert-Lewin decision
19:39 , Marc Mayo
Dominic Calvert-Lewin is only fit for the bench tonight.
Frank Lampard says: “Dominic felt some fatigue during the Brighton game and then specifically the morning after.
“Yesterday we had a long chat – the medical team’s advice and Dom’s feeling was that to start and play 90 minutes was probably a personal risk for him, so we had to consider that.”
A big night for De Gea
19:35 , Marc Mayo
The goalkeeper gets a rare FA Cup outing tonight, a tournament he has only played twice in since the 2018 final!

No Butland for Man United
19:20 , Marc Mayo
Jack Butland not involved tonight after Erik ten Hag explained why Manchester United signed the goalkeeper on loan.
“What he’s (Butland) bringing, I’m really happy with David, it’s quite clear, he’s our No1,” Ten Hag said yesterday.
“He’s a really good performer, but there’s always something that can happen with David as well, and you have to be prepared for that, so you don’t have one.
“Last year I had a situation with Ajax we had three goalies injured, and you don’t want a position that you play for trophies, and you have to put in a young keeper, you can’t expect it, and also kill your season. That’s what you have to be prepared for.”

No Sancho as fitness issues continue
18:46 , Marc Mayo
There will be no Jadon Sancho in the Man United squad later as he continues his long road back to fitness, which remains a bit of a mystery to those outside the club.
“I would like to have Jadon back as soon as possible, but I can’t force this process,” Erik ten Hag said. “I will do everything that’s in my power but some processes you can’t force and this is one of them.
“I also have to show patience although I don’t have patience because we have a lack of opportunities in the frontline, players who are available and capable to contribute not only in the Premier League but on the highest standard in football.
“Jadon is one who, when he is fit, he will contribute and we will have an extra option and so we have more chance to win a lot of games.”

Evening Standard score prediction
18:25 , Marc Mayo
While United can surely expect a reaction from Everton following their abysmal 4-1 home defeat at the hands of Brighton, they have been far too good at Old Trafford this season to imagine there will be an upset.

Early Man United team news
18:08 , Marc Mayo
Erik ten Hag was coy about Donny van de Beek’s fitness following the nasty-looking injury the Dutchman unfortunately picked up against Bournemouth.
Whatever the eventual outcome, it seems unlikely the midfielder would play after such a blow amid a tight turnaround.
Anthony Martial, however, is likely to be available despite coming off injured against the Cherries.
Antony should return, though Jadon Sancho remains out along with the likes of Axel Tuanzebe.
