England are the latest team to release their kit for the 2023 Rugby World Cup, which begins in just over 50 days, with the best teams from around the globe set to battle it out for glory in France.
The Umbro kit is part of a campaign called ‘From England with love’ and is derived from the devotion of England Rugby fans, whether in the stands or at home who all share the same passion.
The kit itself has a classic look with a very simple design for the primary strip. The fit sees no collar but a basic round neck, whilst the jersey is mostly plain white with subtle detailing on the front.
The alternate strip sees the return of the bold navy colour and is still a relatively simple design. The sleeves feature a red band, whilst the front has the same detailing as the primary strip with a lighter section around the chest area.
First to be seen in Summer Nations Series
England will use the kit for the first time in the Summer Nations Series, where they will face Wales, Ireland and Fiji as part of a warm-up period ahead of the global tournament.
Vice-captain Ellis Genge underlined what a great honour it is to wear the rose and is very excited to fly his country’s flag at the World Cup in France.
“Every time we wear the rose, whether it’s in training or in a game, we play with passion and pride,” he said.
“Playing for your country at a major tournament is a buzz and an honour.
“We’ll be heading to France fully prepared and can’t wait to give our all for our fans, family and friends.”
