It is time for Planet Rugby’s Sunday Social, your quirky recap of the serious and not so serious talking points from the past week’s action.

Oh no, Joe… The blunder of the week for sure as USA President Joe Biden completely butchers his statement referring to the All Blacks as the ‘Black and Tans’ which, as it turns out, was an Irish military unit from the 1920s.

Paul O’Connell seems to be doing well in retirement! A serious double take is needed for this one as Biden security staff looks to have an Irish rugby legend in suit and tie!

Leinster’s admin seeing something literally no one else can see. No crowd and no atmosphere. The poor attendance at Ellis Park continues to be an issue. Genuinely speaking it needs to be addressed as it is not a good advert for the game.

It is Leinster’s world and we are just living in it. The Irish giants confirmed the signing of Springbok head coach Jacques Nienaber following the World Cup. The province is not impressive just by chance, it is simply incredibly well run.

He has absolutely ripped that! That’s a full on switcheroo right there! The Dragons scrum-half Rhodri Williams took on the lineout throwing with Elliot Dee in the sin-bin. Just how far has that ball gone! Excellent stuff.

Oh no, Joe… This time for Marchant who showed some impressive skill to miss that kick from straight out in front as he says goodbye to the Stoop. In fairness, it makes for a much better story.

In this week’s edition of ‘that aged poorly’ is this savage sign in Cape Town referring to their big loss to the Sharks a fortnight ago? This must have been pre-game because that sign surely had to be in the bin after the Irish side downed the Stormers.

It was Munster’s night in Cape Town and a decent contingent of supporters travelled all the way from Ireland to sing in the stands and be there for the side. Impressive from the fans with the last laugh going to the Munstermen this time round.

Serious throwback as the master and founder of the goose step, David Campese, who showcased the move in his prime. No doubt the media personality, the Rugby Guy, would have given him a low rating for not having enough head movement.

Typically a villain but this week a hero. Lovely stuff from Nic White who gave Peni Matawalu some tips after their clash in Super Rugby Pacific.

Wait, what? There is so much to break down. Nic White audaciously throws it through his legs and is that the Honey Badger? No, it is just Ben O’Donnell on the way to a hat-trick. Chaotically brilliant from the Brumbies.
