Leigh have been successful in appealing against the one-match ban handed to prop Nathan Wilde by the Rugby Football League’s match review panel.
The young front-rower was initially handed a one-match suspension for a Grade B dangerous contact in their 20-6 win over Leeds on Friday night.
The Leopards then appealed the ban. Wilde admitted the offence but successfully challenged its grading, which was downgraded to Grade A and his one-match suspension overturned. He has been fined £250 though.
Wilde will be available to play in Leigh’s next game against Castleford on Friday, May 5.
Elsewhere, Catalans Dragons prop Siosiua Taukeiaho will not receive a one-match ban thanks to his previous good record.
The Tonga co-captain was charged with a Grade B high tackle in their 16-14 defeat at Salford on Sunday afternoon. He will be free to face champions St Helens on Friday, May 5.
