Taunton St Andrews First XI made the trip to play against Bedminster on Saturday where after winning the toss they found themselves in trouble at 94 for six. Lloyd Alley who made 31 and Toby Williams-Thomas who hit 42 then added 70 together., soon after which they were all out for 178 in 48 overs.
When the hosts responded they reached 179 for two in 31 overs.
Saints Second XI hosted Castle Cary in the Somerset Cricket League Premier Division who after opting to bat first at the Wyvern posted 212 for six from their 45 overs, of which Jamie Elsworth made 46 and Eben Latham 43.
Young spinner Jago Barclay was the pick of the bowlers taking two for 29 from eight overs.
When the hosts replied opener Kevin Parsons was in top form making an unbeaten 111 from 127 balls with 13 fours and a six, adding 118 together in an unbroken second wicket partnership with Dan Godfrey who was not out 53 from 59 deliveries with four fours and two sixes, as Saints reached 213 in the 45rd over.
In SCL Division Four the Saints A XI were at home to Crewkerne who after winning the toss and batting first made a good start and thanks to skipper Tom Briggs with 29, captain Chris Gould with 34 rhad reached 111 for four when Marcus Sapiecha accounted for Rob Keylock with 20.
Crewkerne then lost four wickets on the same score before reaching 141 all out in 26.3 overs.
For the hosts Ryan Cleverley ended with four wickets for 26, Rhys Hockey three for 42 and Sapiecha three for 24.
When the home side replied they lost an early wicket before Freddie Woollcott with 38 and Nick Bennett added 50 for the second wicket . Bennett then shared a partnership of 47 with Danny Woollcott before he was out for 44 and just more than a run a ball.
Woollcott with an unbeaten 31 then saw Saints A to 143 for four and victory by six wi kets in the 22nd over.
Meanwhile on Friday evening Saints Under 19s beat their Bridgwater counterparts in the South West Under 19 Club T20 by three wickets.
After choosing to bat first the hosts posted 129 for seven from their overs, Findlay Hedges taking three for 24.
In reply Saints Under 19s reached 133 for seven in 17.1 overs, Ben Mason making 20, Jago Barclay 23 and Marcus Sapiecha an unbeaten 19 off 12 balls to see them to victory.
