Salford forward suffers hamstring injury during Castleford clash

Salford Red Devils have suffered an injury blow to forward Danny Addy during their Super League clash with Castleford.

The 32-year-old Scotland international featured from the bench in the first 40 of the Round Nine clash at the AJ Bell Stadium.

Addy was seen testing his hamstring on the sidelines during the break, but Sky Sports pundit Jon Wells has since confirmed an injury blow that is likely to rule him out of the rest of the game.

It leaves Salford boss Paul Rowley with just 16-men for the second 40, with the scores level at 6-6.

Addy has made four appearances in Super League so far this year, having missed the start of the season through injury.

He also missed Scotland’s World Cup campaign last year after suffering a season-ending injury last July.
