Nathan Chamberlain scored 32 points – including a hat-trick of tries – as Scotland ended their Under-20 Six Nations campaign with a seven-try win over Wales behind closed doors.
The game went ahead amid the coronavirus outbreak, which has wiped out most major sports events, including Saturday’s senior international between the two countries in Cardiff.
Only players’ families were allowed to be present at Colwyn Bay’s Eirias Stadium, and they saw Scotland secure their second win of the Six Nations.
In addition to Chamberlain’s three tries for the visitors, Rufus McLean, Connor Boyle, Oli Smith and Robbie McCallum also scored.
Man of the match Chamberlain also converted all seven tries to add to a first-half penalty.
It was a night to forget for Wales, following impressive back-to-back victories over France and England and their three tries came courtesy of Morgan Strong, Bradley Roderick and Dom Booth.
Wales and Scotland have concluded their campaign but the Under-20 Six Nations is incomplete with games involving Ireland, France, England and Italy called off because of the coronavirus outbreak.
