The 2024 Somerset Schools’ Golf Association Championship will be taking place at Weston-super Mare Golf Club on Wednesday 20th March.

The championship is open to all boys and girls at school in Somerset and every school in the county should have been sent an entry. It is hoped that members of the junior section will want to get their schools involved by securing places to play in the competition.

Players compete for their school and have the chance to represent England Schools against Scotland and Wales Schools later in the year, so its a great opportunity for all young golfers.

The organiser of the Championship Day at Weston super Mare on 20th March is Stuart Wells from the Somerset Schools’ Golf Association so for further information and how to enter please contact him by calling him on 01458 444201 or emailing wells.smillfieldschool.com

The T&P Junior Open in conjunction with the Justin Rose Daily Telegraph Open Qualifier will this year be taking earlier in the year on Sunday 9th June between 9am and 12 noon.

There will be an 18 hole medal and a 9 hole stableford competition with Gross and Nett as well as spot prizes.

Entries, which must be made before the closing date of Thursday 6th June can be made by logging onto www.tauntongolf.co.uk or for further enquiries please contact Jan Hill the Junior Organiser on 01823 421537 or email her on janhillholmfirth@hotmail.com.
